FAQ for Private Events
-
Private events take planning, so try for at least 6 weeks in advance. Occasionally I can pull something together sooner.
-
Most private events take place on weekdays at either 10:00am or 2:00pm.
Late afternoons/evenings and Saturday afternoons are occasionally available.
-
The base price listed on each private class is the minimum, even if fewer people are participating.
-
A $300 nonrefundable deposit is required to book your event.
Once the deposit is received, I hold the time on my calendar, reserve the room, book a class assistant if needed, and begin preparations on your event.
If the client cancels, Homemade keeps the deposit. If Homemade must cancel, for any reason, any fees collected (including the deposit) will be refunded.
-
A lot of work goes into private group events beyond just holding the date.
If the client cancels, Homemade keeps the deposit. If Homemade must cancel, for any reason, any fees collected (including the deposit) will be refunded promptly.

Some classes can be adapted to accommodate dietary restrictions, but not all.
Please clearly communicate any and all dietary needs before finalizing your booking. Last-minute requests cannot be accommodated.
The kitchen is not allergen-free and we do NOT guarantee against trace elements.
-
No, but I highly recommend Muddy’s Bake Shop for kids’ groups— they offer cupcake & cookie decorating parties that are a big hit!

It depends on the participation style of the class you’ve chosen.

Group-work classes: Alcohol may be enjoyed after the hands-on portion is complete.
Masterclasses: As these involve a high degree of student participation and attention to detail for the duration of class, alcohol is not permitted.

Homemade is a very small operation and most of my time is spent in the kitchen (not on the computer)…
